After two months of waiting, the family of Felix Thebe, who was killed in a car accident involving kwaito star Mandoza, has no idea when the celebrity will face the law.

Princess Khumalo, Thebe's aunt, said she was "yet to hear from the police" about the progress they had made towards bringing conclusion to the accident. "I had hoped that by now they should be telling us whether we are going to court or not.

"We were told on March 8 to wait for two weeks. We were told the police would contact us, but two months have now passed and we are still waiting," she said.

Honeydew police spokesman Inspector Karen Jacobs said investigations into the accident that left Thebe and his colleague, Charles Shabalala, dead were complete.

Police were now only waiting for a forensic report from Pretoria, Jacobs said.

"The docket has been handed over to the Roodepoort magistrate's court and Mandoza should appear there soon."
