Mpumalanga premier Thabang Makwetla's spokesman, Ntime Skhosana, again became a victim of crime when a bag with his clothing went missing at Durban International Airport .

Skhosana said he just could not figure out what happened, but an investigation was in progress.

At the time he was returning from the Tourism Indaba in Durban at the weekend.

Just a month ago Skhosana's new Audi Q7 was hijacked by three armed criminals in Gauteng.

The hijacking was the third attack on Skhosana in less than two years after two earlier unrelated incidents in which armed thugs broke into his house in the suburb of Stonehenge in Nelspruit.

Skhosana said shortly after the hijacking that he and a friend had been in Soshanguve, Tshwane, when they got into another friend's car to go for a spin.

When they returned just after 9pm they were surprised by three armed men who pointed guns at them and demanded the keys to the black Audi.

The criminals drove off in the state-of-the-art vehicle. It was later recovered by a tracking system abandoned in Sunnyside.

Just more than a week before that Skhosan said an armed assailant had broken into his home but ran away when the occupants of the house shouted for help.

On yet another occasion Skhosana was nearly killed when an armed man broke into his house about two years ago.

He woke up when he heard someone in his bedroom on the first floor of his house.

Skhosana saw a man tiptoeing into his bedroom and jumped on him. A scuffle ensued between him and the intruder, who managed to break free and fire two shots at Skhosana.

Fortunately he missed and only left two bullet holes in the wall as a concrete reminder of the incident.

The intruder ran out of the house and disappeared into the night.

Skhosana said he was deeply upset by all his continuing misfortunes.

"I just don't know what is happening in my life, but whatever it is I have to be very strong in my prayers," he said.

No one has been arrested in connection with the any of the incidents.
