The incredible resurgence of Bloemfontein Celtic has renewed their hopes of ending the season inside the top eight bracket.
Phunya SeleSele are taking the war to the capital, Tshwane today at 7.30pm against Kaizer Chiefs, who are also back to winning ways.
For Amakhosi, a victory will guarantee a top eight finish where they will get a minimum of R1 million in prize money.
Chiefs have showed some great signs of improvement against Orlando Pirates, who they beat 1-0, especially in the second half when they dominated.
But their failure to score more goals is still a cause for concern.
Club manager Bobby Motaung is happy at the turn of events and argues that the positive results that Chiefs are getting lately augurs well for their plans to conquer the Premiership next season.
The club's captain and striker, Shaun Bartlett, said they were gearing themselves up for a tough match against Celtic.
Sello Nduna, Celtic's publicist, said there was no turning back in their march to finish the season in the top eight.
"We all know that the top eight competition is no more but there is a guarantee of R1 million for clubs finishing in that bracket," he said.
"The club has been getting some great results, the level of stress for many people in Mangaung has gone down because we are back to our winning ways.
"We are going to paint Loftus white and green to once more prove that we are the most supported club in southern Africa.
"We are not an ATM, so there is no pin code.
"Without any fear of contradiction, Chiefs are going to fall. The score will be 1-0 [with the goal scored] by Petrus Mahlatsi," added Nduna.
Jimmy "Speedfire" Augousti, Celtic's caretaker coach, said: "Our season has not always gone according to plan, but right now we're really pleased with the guys."
Celtic have won three games and drew one since Augousti took over the coaching reins after the departure of Khabo Zondo.
Phunya SeleSele's great form has raised concerns in certain quarters that some of the players did not want Zondo, hence they did not play to their potential.
Muhsin Ertugral, Chiefs' coach, looks set to start with Kaizer Motaung to partner Bartlett upfront.
