Agriculture gets R7bn boost

The African Development Bank has committed $1billion (R7billion) to revamp the continent's agricultural sector, Donald Kaberuka, the bank's president, said yesterday. The money was raised from the bank's restructuring process and would be disbursed for infrastructure development in the rural areas and the purchase of fertilisers and seeds. - Sapa
