SANTANA SET TO ARRIVE SATURDAY

Joel "Guitarman" Santana, the new Bafana Bafana coach, is most likely to finally arrive in the country on Saturday morning.

Joel "Guitarman" Santana, the new Bafana Bafana coach, is most likely to finally arrive in the country on Saturday morning.

There was a delay in securing his work permit after discussions between Raymond Hack, Safa chief executive, and the Department of Home Affairs.

Sowetan has learnt that the application for a work permit has since been processed, but Santana will be required to take his original passport to Pretoria on his arrival to get all the required papers.

Safa has decided that the man also known as "Mr Jackpot" should have all the papers processed, so that he gets on with the job as early as next week.

Santana will meet Hack, Bafana Bafana head of delegation Mandla "Shoes" Mazibuko and manager Sipho Nkumane to present his vision.
