Theatre icon Sifiso Mthethwa and some teenagers are wowing employers and workers with the message: "Go for voluntary HIV-Aids testing".

The group of youngsters from Umlazi decided to educate themselves about the disease and then produced a play and DVD to encourage people to know their status.

They belong to Mthethwa's Vision Faces Theatre and have been performing at workplaces.

Mthethwa has featured in a number of world-acclaimed productions such as the Lion King and Bergville Stories.

Mthethwa wants to take the production to schools, churches, mines, hospitals and other places where people gather.

"The sad reality is that everyone of us is affected by the pandemic,' Mthethwa says.

Thabisile Mzizi, a wellness manager at Ithala Bank, and Dawie Spohr of Toyota South Africa in Durban, say the play is great.
