Limpopo mourns Selemela, Mabunda

He was one of the founders of Seshego Raiders in the early 1970s. At the time of his death, Selemela was a staunch supporter of Lebowakgomo Wildbeasts and Orlando Pirates.

"We will sorely miss Moss for his contribution in the development of softball in the province. May his family stay strong during this sad time," said Guillo Marapyane, Softball South Africa's president.

l The boxing fraternity in Limpopo is mourning the death of trainer Bushy Mabunda, who died on Tuesday and will be buried in Giyani tomorrow.

Mabunda, 43, was attached to the Giyani boxing club. During his period as a trainer, he managed to produce seven professional boxers.

The boxers he trained include Kenneth Hlayisi, Justice Hlongwane, Zacharia Mudau, Morris Mutabatsindi, Pfarelo Radzilani, Makonani Tshifiwa and Foster Maluleke.

"He was a parent to our boxers, soft-spoken, approachable and not so hard to please. He will not only be missed by the Giyani boxing club, but by the boxing family in the province," Tinyiko Nkatingi, Giyani boxing club manager, said yesterday. - Matome Lebea
