Local factories quit defying higher interest rates and electricity outages in March. Manufacturing output dropped one percent from March a year ago after managing to gain nearly four percent in February against the tide of a tougher business environment. March's slump is partly due to the Easter holidays falling in that month instead of April. - Robert Laing
