Jordaan leaves for Zurich tonight and will be accompanied by Dennis Mumble, the chief competitions officer of the committee.
The event is jointly organised by the South African embassy in Switzerland and the world governing soccer body Fifa.
The embassy and Fifa are using the event to update African ambassadors on the progress of the 2009 Confederations Cup and the World Cup.
On his return from Switzerland, Jordaan will head to Durban for the Tourism South Africa indaba, which starts from tomorrow to Sunday.
The massive event, which will take place at Chief Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre, will be attended by all stakeholders globally.
Delegates, some of whom are from the United States, England, Australia and China, will also discuss the 2010 World Cup spin-offs.
It will start tomorrow with a technical workshop attended by representatives from Southern African countries such as Lesotho, Botswana, Namibia and Swaziland.
Southern African countries are working closely with the Local Organising Committee to explore ideas on how to cooperate, especially in terms of accommodation.
Some of the countries, such as Botswana, Swaziland, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia have already formed structures to specifically deal with the 2010 World Cup preparations.
Tim Modise, the LOC's communications and marketing director, said: "It's Tourism South Africa who are organising the event.
"The chief executive officer (Jordaan) has also been invited to address them."
