The ongoing dispute between Safa and clubs who finished second during the Vodacom League is going for arbitration on May 12.
This was after the affected clubs took Safa to court after the national executive committee decided to do away with the idea of including them in the national playoffs.
In terms of a decision by the executive committee taken at Safa House last month, only the provincial winners will take part, which has always been like that.
Owners of some of the clubs that finished second argue that they had already spent a lot of money preparing for the playoffs before the executive ruling.
Morio Sanyane, Safa communications director, said: "It is true that all the parties agreed to go for arbitration, which will be binding."
The playoffs will take place in Tlokwe and Matlosana from May 19 to 24. The participating clubs will arrive in Matlosana on May 18. With the exception of Northern Cape, the other eight provinces have produced their winners.
In Northern Cape, there is still a dispute involving William Pescod and Namaqualand Stars after their game was abandoned with the score at 1-1.
As things stand, Pescod and Louisville Pirates each have 65 points.
There is an appeal, which could see Pescod going to North West if they win the case.
However, if Pescod are docked one point from that disputed match, then Pirates will be crowned Northern Cape champions and qualify for the playoffs.
The draw for the playoffs will take place in Midrand today. The eight provincial winners are:
Classic (Limpopo, Matlosana (North West), Islands (KwaZulu-Natal), Vasco Da Gama (Western Cape), Bush Bucks (Eastern Cape), Carara (Free State) and Barberton City All Stars (Mpumalanga). Balebetse Monnakgotla, Safa acting director of competitions, said: "It's all systems go for the playoffs."
