Unfancied Reunion have brushed aside Mozambique to set a date with Amajita in the 2009 African Youth Championships first round.

The Indian Ocean islanders are through to the next round on a 4-3 aggregate after winning the second round 2-1 in Maputo on Saturday.

This was after the two Under-20 national sides played to a 2-2 draw in their first leg encounter in Reunion three weeks ago.

Amajita's coach Serame "Rhee" Letsoaka travelled to Mozambique at the weekend to watch the preliminary match.

"I had to come here because we know that we are going to play against the overall winner," Letsoaka said. "It wasn't a good game really.

"Reunion are great fighters, they never lost hope and got the two goals with 10 men after one of their players was sent off in the first half.

"We are going to prepare thoroughly for them since we play against them at home on June 27. We just have to avoid underestimating them."

lCameroon started their World Under-17 Championships qualifier with a 2-0 win over South Africa in Luanda on Saturday.

But in Angola on the same day Banyana Banyana thumped Botswana 5-0 in the opening match of the Cosafa Women's Championships.

Banyana, represented by Basetsana in this tournament, play Zimbabwe in their second match today.

Safa has decided to use Basetsana in Angola to prepare for the Under-20 Fifa Women's World Cup qualifier in Tshwane on May 31.
