"The realisation of one's dream should not make us pompous and forget who we are, where we come from and where we are headed, lest these blessings come to nought," Pastor Titus Sithole said at the weekend.
The former Namibian missionary was addressing more than 500 religious leaders on the first of three days of elaborate festivities to mark the official opening of the R13,5 million Oasis of Life Family Church auditorium in Daveyton, Ekurhuleni.
Sithole and other men and women of the cloth, among them gospel artist Pastor Benjamin Dube and Apostle Simpson Ncinzela, attended. They showered accolades on Apostle Isaac Sithole, founder and president of Oasis of Life and his wife, Prophetess Sibongile Sithole and diligent congregants.
The massive structure was built with funds raised by the founder and church members.
Ncinzela, on the other hand, was in a jovial mood.
He cautioned the church "to guard against the young and ambitious pastors".
Addressing the young clerics of the church Ncinzela said: "He (Apostle Sithole) may be tired but please do not take the authority away from him."
