Mpumalanga Premier Thabang Makwetla's spokesman, Ntime Skhosana, is having a hard time of it.

His brand new Audi Q7 was hijacked by three armed thugs in Gauteng on Sunday night.

This was the third attack on Skhosana in less than two years after two incidents in which armed thugs broke into his house in the suburb of Stonehenge in Nelspruit.

In the latest incident Skhosana said he and a friend were in Soshanguve, Pretoria, when they both got into the friend's car, leaving Skhosana's car behind.

Shortly after their return, just after 9pm, they were surprised by three armed men who pointed guns at them and demanded keys to the black Audi.

"There was no way I couldn't hand over the keys, especially knowing that the vehicle had been fitted with a tracking device. Our lives come first anyway," said Skhosana yesterday.

The car was later found abandoned in Sunnyside, Tshwane.

Just more than a week ago an armed thug broke into Skhosana's house but ran away when other occupants of the house shouted for help.
