Despite a failure to win enough matches, which has seen them consistently remaining in the relegation quagmire, Jomo Cosmos will not go down to the First Division.

This is the bold prediction of Jomo Sono, the club's coach, after failing to score a goal in their 0-0 draw against Golden Arrows at Orkney Stadium on Sunday.

Sono's babes are still searching for their first victory in Orkney since relocating to the North West mining town in February.

In a post-match interview, Sono said he was hoping that the gods will finally smile on them against fellow strugglers Bloemfontein Celtic tomorrow.

"We are going to put up a big fight, we have been playing well but the problem is that we just can't put the ball in the back of the net," he said.

"While a draw is not bad at all, the situation is better for us now that I have just received the news that Celtic beat Thanda Royal Zulu 3-0.

"The game against Celtic will be a tough one, but we are going all out for a win. God and the gods are with us, we will get a win on Wednesday."

Arrows coach Manqoba Mnqithi was spot in admitting that they were lucky to get away with a point in this game.

"It was one of our worst games this season, we should have conceded two or three goals towards the end of the game," he said.

"We need to regroup for the game against Kaizer Chiefs on Wednesday [today]. We are taking each game as it comes in order to focus fully."

l For a change Siwelele had something to merrily sing about after Bloemfontein Celtic stunned dangerous Amabhubesi - Thanda Royal Zulu - 3-0 in a Premiership match in Durban on Sunday.

Their goals were scored by Lebohang Kumake, a fired-up Moses Spandeel and his partner in crime, Kleinbooi Taaibos. - additional reporting by Sapa
