The long wait behind bars continues for a Limpopo man who allegedly shot dead four senior hospital officials in a fit of rage.

Samson Mocheku Tsamago will have to stay in the police holding cells for longer before his lawyers apply for bail.

Tsamago, 27, of Seshego near Polokwane, Limpopo, was arrested on October 19 last year after he was accused of shooting to death Putuka Mafa, Arnold Rammbuda, Justice Maanda and Godfrey Mamashela on the hospital premises.

Mafa was the hospital's chief executive, Rammbuda was employed as deputy corporate manager, Maanda was labour relations officer and Mamashela transport officer.

Tsamago appeared briefly in the Seshego magistrate's court where his case was postponed to May 8 for a formal bail hearing.

Tsamago killed the four after he was suspended for allegedly driving a state vehicle under the influence of liquor and allegedly knocked down a pedestrian.
