Classes returned to normal at KwaBhekilanga Secondary School in Alexandra, north of Johannesburg, yesterday.

But 13 of the 28 teachers, including the principal, who were fired have not yet been replaced.

The school had a total of 45 teachers previously. Gauteng education department spokesman Panyaza Lesufi said the remaining 32 teachers were sharing classes.

"We are in the process of finding replacement teachers. We are hoping that by Monday we would have found them," he said. - Sibongile Mashaba
