After starting on a high during his midnight slot on Saturday, listeners were surprised when the broadcast petered out to uncharacteristic lull. Hardly the thing music-starved insomniacs need to keep going at that time of the night.

Electricity load shedding, they thought.

But, lo and behold, the inebriated presenter had nodded off after a glass too many. Both the snore that rent the airwaves and alcohol fumes in the studio proved the fact.
