Gospel enthusiasts came in numbers on Saturday to witness the launch of yet another Lusanda Mcinga album at Mthatha Town Hall.

Mcinga, a multi-platinum-selling gospel star, threw the mother of all parties at her home town in celebration of her 13th offering - Buyani Buyani.

Since everything Mcinga touched has turned to gold or platinum, this one is likely to be no exception..

The launch, regarded as one of the biggest events on the Eastern Cape entertainment calendar attracted young and old.

It started on Saturday at 10am and continued until the next day at 10am.

Twelve sheep were slaughtered.

The proceeding started with speeches and with the Lusanda Spiritual Group performing.

When the album launch ended at 7pm, the concert officially started.

Mcinga has been nominated for a Sama that on May 3.
