The departure of Carlos Alberto Parreira is not that much of a hindrance to our preparations for the 2010 World Cup. Blessings come when least expected, and this just might be the time.

I feel it is up to Safa to show broad vision and faith in untested grounds, this is my feeling on who should coach SA next.

Zinedine Zidane. Why, you may ask? He has just retired from football at a very young age, therefore, he can still show Bafana what needs to be done "practically".

He has played football at the top level and for the best teams in the world, his experience is immeasurable.

He is an African. Therefore, he has the flair and understands how to best use that for the greater achievement of a team.

He is a World Cup winner and numerous other big tournaments. He also has the knowledge of big match temperaments needed at the highest level. He is new, young, hungry and would probably enjoy the challenge. I think he deserves the chance.

This is just an idea from a football fan.
