Lebowakgomo Wildbeasts' co-coach Vincent Seteno says he is not worried that his charges are out of the title race in the Limpopo Softball Association's LimDev Super League because their focus is on building the team.

"Our focus this season, like in 2007, is to build the team and we will only talk about challenging for the championship next term," Seteno said yesterday.

"It is really important for us to build a team because we will soon lose some of the experienced players. I'm happy with the progress these youngsters have made and I can assure our supporters that they will be unstoppable in the near future."

Another contributing factor towards Wildbeasts' failure to challenge for the league title is that they played some crucial matches without their key players who have job commitments elsewhere.

The players include Tebogo Ramokgoadi, who works in Lydenburg, and Kgopotso Matlala, who is based in Pretoria.

They play traditional rivals Seleteng Giant Killers in a match the GaMphahlele club should win. But they should easily brush aside basement club Mashite Eagles.

Other matches will see second-placed Moletlane Texas entertaining Seshego Cannons and Sebayeng Sharks, with Cannons also tackling Mamaolo Rebels.

Rebels will also have a date with Sharks. The matches will be played at Lebowakgomo diamonds on Sunday.
