This year's Danone Nations Cup kicks off tomorrow, when 32 Pietermaritzburg U-12 school teams battle it out.

This is the first of three preliminary soccer tournaments scheduled for KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng and Cape Town, with the winning team representing South Africa in the Nations World Cup in France in September.

The tournament is a collaboration between the title sponsors and the South African Schools Football Association (Sasfa). Tomorrow's games will be played at AB Jackson fields in Pietermaritzburg, with the finals in Gauteng on May 31. - Sowetan Reporter
