Pat "Fingers" Moyaha, Limpopo Eagles Golf Association spokesman, has urged their golfers to back the yearly golf day in aid of the Polokwane After-care Centre for the Mentally Disabled.

This year's event will be staged at the Kameeldoring Country Club in Mokopane tomorrow. It will be played on a betterball Stableford format and tee-off is at 7.40am.

Said Moyaha yesterday: "This tourney is for a good cause and we will not hesitate to support it. I therefore appeal to the golfers who will be free on Saturday to honour the tournament. We are ready to assist in the success of such events in the province."

Tessa van Heerden, the centre's media liaison officer, said they hoped to raise more than R40000 tomorrow.

"Our target is to get more than what we got last year. We are working hard to ensure that we succeed. We thank the sponsors and golfers who have been behind this initiative and hope that they will continue to support us," Van Heerden said.

She said prizes worth more than R7000 could be won.

Business people can sponsor a hole for R500 and a tee for R350 and sponsors will be welcome to display their advertising banners on the greens. For more details contact Baksteen Heunis on 015- 298-8685 or Francois van Heerden on 082-824-1726.
