Erinvale Country Club will once more host the Nedbank South African Disabled Golf Open next month.
The event that has grown into an international tournament, will be played by 91 golfers, including 11 international participants.
They will include players from England, Germany, the Netherlands, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland.
Individual entries will include 33 leg amputees, 12 arm amputees, two wheelchair players, six visually impaired and 17 deaf participants.
This venue hosted the 1996 World Cup as well as two South African Open Championships with its spectacular Gary Player-designed layout.
Defending champion and leg amputee, Englishman Mick Horsley is said to be determined and looking forward to his title defence. The Englishman claimed the overall victory with a brilliant chip at the final hole last year, winning for a second successive year, and is said to be going for a hat trick.
There are also prizes for Stableford divisions, ladies, seniors, juniors and the individual disability categories. This year the deaf division is using the Open as a qualifying event for the World Deaf Championship.
