African Warriors midfielder Mohau Mokopanela and Dynamos' linkman Klaas Galane are among the players who have been drafted into the Safa national development team to face Mauritius in the inaugural African Nations Championship next month.

Others are Bay United duo Khayalethu Ngangqu and the exciting Johannes Segalo and Ayanda Ndlovu from Maritzburg United.

Serame Letsoaka, the squad's coach, will announce his 18-member squad in Johannesburg today and his team is mainly made up of players from National First Division (NFD) teams and a few from the current national Under-23 squad.

The tournament is for locally-based players.

Maritzburg United and Bay United have qualified for the NFD playoffs and having their players in the squad will motivate them for the promotion event.

Galane, whose team has secured a passage to the playoffs in the Inland Stream, is an experienced player having featured for the Dynamites in the top flight.

Serame has also roped in Galene's teammate Joseph Mthombeni to have enough options in the midfield. Mthombeni is a product of the Transnet School of Excellence and also played for Mamelodi Sundowns, and his experience will come in handy.

Equally experienced Warriors goalkeeper Jacob Mokhasi could also get the nod along with Winners Park's energetic forward Sibusiso Nhlapo and fellow striker Morgan Shivambu.
