Ben Mathosi, who appeared in the Pretoria magistrates' court yesterday, claimed to be 15 and wanted to be tried as a minor. But the district surgeon found him to be 20 years old.
Mathosi appeared briefly with Dinis Gentil Nhane and Christavao Fresco Ndima.
Mathosi is facing charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, which was allegedly used in Abraham's murder.
His two co-accused are charged with murder, robbery with aggravated circumstances and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
