For instance, in the world title bout between Mzonke Fana and Cassius Baloyi, when the referee was giving the final instructions before the fight Zola Koti was interfering by shouting and chanting, "the champ is here".
The referee could not hear himself and even had to request that they listen to him. To aggravate an already unprofessional situation Nick Durandt responds by telling Koti to "zip, zip it". That in itself paints a very unprofessional image of the sport in South Africa and our trainers should really learn to conduct themselves in a more professional manner.
Secondly, Nick Durandt can never participate professionally on television. Whenever Dicksy or one of the other presenters interviews him he never listens to the question and always interrupts the host.
These guys are professionals and should learn certain ethics in how to behave on television and how to answer appropriately. An interview needs to be restricted to what is being asked and trainers should not push their personal agendas on national television.
As a boxing loving South African it becomes demoralising to observe this bickering among trainers. Television is for the promotion of the sport and not personal agendas. If Nick Durandt has issues with Zola Koti and vice versa, then these need to be addressed in the proper forums.
