Two employees of a cash-in-transit company who apparently faked a robbery have been arrested, Port Elizabeth police said yesterday.

Two employees of a cash-in-transit company who apparently faked a robbery have been arrested, Port Elizabeth police said yesterday.

Thousands of rands were also recovered. Spokesman Sandra Janse van Rensburg said the supposed robbery of R1,6million from a Coin vehicle took place last month.

One suspect, a 28-year-old driver, was arrested at his place of work. Police recovered R244000. Police also arrested a 31-year-old security guard. Just under R300000 was recovered from his house. - Sapa
