Three hard drives have been stolen from the Jeppestown magistrates' court in Johannesburg.

One hard drive was taken from the chief magistrates' office, another from the court two prosecutor's office and the third from Legal Aid Board offices.

Police spokesman Inspector Richard Munyai said the theft happened on Monday night and staff discovered it yesterday.

Justice Department spokesman Zolile Nqayi said he would investigate the matter.
