Joel Mongalo, Classic coach, is upbeat about their chances of doing well in the Vodacom League national playoffs in Klerksdorp from May 17 to 24.
The tournament is co-hosted by the cities of Matlosana and Tlokwe which contributed more than R1 million towards the accommodation of the participating clubs and officials.
City of Matlosana FC, where former Bafana Bafana and Jomo Cosmos player Brian Sebalope is a technical staff member, are through to the playoffs.
But there is still a dark cloud hanging over Matlosana's participation after allegations that they bribed a referee to help them win a game.
Classic and The Dolphins qualified for the national playoffs after finishing first and second on the log in Limpopo.
Yizo Yizo, owned by Sinky Mnisi, will also fight for promotion to the First Division League.
They also did well in the Nedbank Cup, where they reached the last-32 stage but were eliminated by Vasco da Gama.
"We have been training hard and are looking forward to the tournament," said Classic coach Mongalo, a former professional goalkeeper with Mahwelereng Real Rovers.
"It will be tough because all the participating teams have high hopes but we are satisfied with the level of fitness of our players."
Balebetse Monnakgotla, acting South African Football Association competitions director, said they were looking forward to a great tournament in Matlosana.
"We have completed the programme in most of the provinces but there are still a few disciplinary cases we are attending to.
"The national playoffs have already generated a lot of interest among the talent scouts from the Premiership and First Division clubs," Monnakgotal said.
"Everything is going according to plan in terms of preparations."
