So far Sowetan has received more than 1500 e-mails and faxes commenting on the Pastor Chris saga.

Although close to 80 percent claim Pastor Chris has healed multitudes, we have not been able to find anyone who has been healed.

Some people have contacted Sowetan with claims that they knew someone who had been healed but have failed to provide addresses.

One woman claimed she had a broken ankle which was healed on the Night of Bliss crusade at Johannesburg Stadium, but disappeared as soon as she was asked for X-rays and medical proof before the miraculous healing.

Another reader said there was no need for her to provide medical records because "it was all about believing in the power of healing and not questioning men of God".

She said: "All men of God should not be questioned. We must respect them because they are not like the rest of us."
