South Africa moved up two places to 69th in the Fifa/Coca-Cola world ranking after their impressive 3-0 win over Paraguay in their international friendly last month.

There are no changes in the top five, with Argentina still leading the way ahead of Brazil, Italy, Spain and Germany.

But there is likely to be a thrilling tussle for the top spot in the next few weeks, with Brazil only 10 points behind their great Argentinian rivals.

Greece, up two places in eighth spot, are the only team to have made ground in the top 10, their victory over Portugal seeing them overtake the Portuguese, who drop down one spot to ninth.

It is Greece's highest position in the ranking. - Sapa
