Settle dispute with ZCC peaceably

Though I'm not a member of the ZCC I find the comments by the Human Rights Commission (HRC) about the church disturbing and disappointing.

Though I'm not a member of the ZCC I find the comments by the Human Rights Commission (HRC) about the church disturbing and disappointing.

Has the church indicated that it won't cooperate with the body? Why are they judging the church before they have started the hearings?

I also find it bizarre that they have scheduled the hearing on the same day the "victim" is supposed to meet with his church leaders.

The HRC in Limpopo knows very well that summoning the ZCC will boost its profile.

When I first read about lawyer Mphafolane Koma's "ordeal" I sympathised a lot. Now I am becoming suspicious.

According to Koma he complained to his church and demanded an explanation within seven days. His church apologised in writing and invited him to their headquarters to resolve the matter.

But now it looks as if Koma has embarked on a crusade against the church. Since the story appeared in a Sunday newspaper I've read various versions of what is supposed to have happened to him.

Koma, we hope you resolve the matter with your church in a peaceful manner since it has indicated its willingness to do so.

To the leadership of the ZCC: you are in charge of one of the largest institutions in the country and problems are bound to arise. Ensure that your members adhere to the protocols of your church.
