After a successful visit to Cape Town Soweto Opera Quadro, a Johannesburg- based group, is set to mesmerise Jozi.

The Quadro will perform at the Brothers in Song show at the University of Johannesburg's arts centre from April 15 to 27.

The Soweto Opera Quadro comprises Elliot Koena, Edward Mabunda, Bokang Sehau and Xola Mpola. They follow closely in the footsteps of groups such as the Afro-Tenors.

With their soothing music these versatile singers will perform some of the group's famous jazz, opera, Afro-pop, traditional and gospel tunes.

Followers of this music will be taken down memory lane by these young lads. Since the group's establishment in 2003 the vocal quartet has performed for President Thabo Mbeki and has built a reputation for excellence here and abroad.

The Quadro will be joined on stage by the gifted Loveline Madumo, a member of the Velvet Sopranos. This will be the former Black Tie Ensemble's first professional stage appearance.

Book at Computicket.
