People gullible to believe 'healer'

Your lead story on Friday, "Fake Healer or Faith Healer", refers.

I am deeply concerned at how gullible our people are, believing everything that comes their way. For the record, I do and unreservedly believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and He is the Son of God who was raised from the dead and only through Him are we saved.

There are so many churches mushrooming I wonder why Finance Minister Trevor Manual hasn't effected tax laws for them. If I must pay a tithe then the church must give me God's banking details and I will gladly do a transfer.

This preacher is robbing our people. If you read the Bible correctly there is nowhere Jesus ever asked people to give Him money.

These modern churches are running businesses. If they insist on healing people I challenge them to go to Chris Hani-Baragwanath Hospital and hospices in South Africa to assist our Department of Health to help cure the sick.

I am sure Manto Tshabalala-Msimang and Gauteng health MEC Brian Hlongwa wouldn't mind the help. Until then I won't pay a tithe to any man and will not believe in these fictitious miracles that cannot be done in the Delta region of Nigeria and the Darfur region in Sudan.
