Usuthu threat

The avalanche of goals scored by AmaZulu in two matches has served to dispel any arrogance Absa Premiership pace setters SuperSport United might possibly be feeling.

The match kicks off at Princess Magogo Stadium on Sunday at 3pm. With 19 goals and counting in two matches of the Nedbank Cup, AmaZulu have looked like real conquerors, though the opposition was perhaps not up to scratch.

United's public relations officer David Skosana differs, citing the effect large wins like those inspire in a team.

"We have to be cautious. We want to get something out of that game, but the spirit in AmaZulu camp must be sky high," Skosana said.

Matsatsantsa a Pitori have not had a competitive match since their 6-1 demolition of Free State Stars, which could count against them. They do have Katlego Mphela back from an injury layoff. He could partner their top goal scorer Katlego Mashego up front.

Siboniso Gaxa and Bongani Khumalo will have to be alert to deal with Usuthu's lethal strikers Dumisani Ngwenya, Sthembiso Dlamini and Siyabonga Mkhwanazi.

"We come from a week of positives. We had extensions to the contracts of Bafo Biyela, Mkhwanazi, Mbongeni Mzimela and Nhlanhla Zwane. Neil Tovey also joined the team, and we have to complete it by getting maximum points from United," said PRO Philani Mabaso.
