South Africans are just lazy

Many of our African brothers and sisters complain a lot about how bad we South Africans treat them.

Many of our African brothers and sisters complain a lot about how bad we South Africans treat them.

They say they sheltered us during apartheid, which is true.

Not all foreigners are criminals. Some came to our country with good intentions, work hard and behave better than some of us.

We, on the other hand, complain that foreigners steal our jobs and businesses. How can someone steal your job when you are not qualified for it?

Yes, some foreigners are prepared to work for less money, but can you blame them? They know the pain of seeing their families brutally murdered, they know how it feels to be a parent at 10 and to sleep in the cold for a week or two without food.

The reason their businesses grow is because they know how to explore the market and are not jealous of each other's success, like South Africans are.

South Africans are copycats. We see our neighbours selling something and we try to sell the same items.

We want to become successful quickly and, worst of all, make money quickly. There are no short-cuts to success. We South Africans are lazy, period.

Advice to our youth: instead of complaining like your lazy siblings, stay in school and get an education. It's the only passport out of poverty.

Africa is for Africans.
