Gunmen opened fire at a Durban service station while two security guards were collecting a cash box, police said.

Inspector Solomon Mbhele said the incident took place at the Kloof Shell Service Station.

Security guards arrived to collect the cash when they were met by two gunmen. A shootout ensued but no injuries were reported. The robbers fled empty-handed. - Sapa
