The South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee has launched an investigation into alleged problems in basketball and volleyball.
Sascoc president Moss Mashishi said: "We have received a complaint from Gauteng Basketball who are making allegations about Basketball South Africa.
"The complaint relates to the fact that BSA have not complied with their own constitution in that they have not been holding executive meeting for more than a year.
"We could not act (in the past) based on rumours regarding basketball until we have received a formal complaint."
Gauteng Basketball have also written to Sport Minister Makhenkesi Stofile, requesting an investigation into the financial affairs of the troubled BSA.
BSA, led by Sascoc board member Vusi Mgobhozi, are alleged not to have had audited financial statements since 2006.
Last year, basketball senior national team coach Flosh Ngwenya went to the extent of meeting Stofile and asking him to intervene after he went for four months without pay.
"We have also received a complaint again from Gauteng Volleyball after its executive was suspended by Volleyball South Africa," said Mashishi.
Turby Reddy, who works for Sascoc as chief operations officer, is the president of Volleyball South Africa.
"Our legal and arbitration commission is dealing with the two complaints, we don't want to be accused because Vusi is our board member and Turby works for us," said Mashishi.
Mashishi also denied reports that Sascoc were trying to discredit ASA president Leonard Chuene, who went to parliament in November where he complained about lack of transformation in the Olympic body.
"There is an inquiry to investigate where there is any misconduct or not (by Chuene). If any member has a problem, they should deal with it internally," Mashishi said.
