About 13000 pensioners are alleged to have bought into bogus funeral policies offered by a company in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal.
The scam was uncovered after some of the pensioners, who have been contributing more than R400 a month to their policies, did not receive the payout they had been promised.
We urge the police to investigate the claims and expose the culprits.
