Reports about the renowned gospel star Lundi Tyamara's sexual orientation are long overdue.

We all knew Tyamara was gay and that he tried very hard to hide the truth from us.

While it is important for us not to judge him, it is also important that he behaves himself. What kind of a comment was that in a Sunday tabloid, especially by someone who claims to be a Christian?

What concerns us about the article last Wednesday was Doc Shebeleza's comments about Tyamara.

Who is he to cast a stone at Tyamara? I'm sure Shebeleza himself has skeletons in his closet.

He says Lundi came back from a mountain as a woman. As far as we can all see Tyamara is a man. Or do we have to redefine what the word woman means?

Tyamara chooses to be gay and shouldn't live his life to please anyone but himself. This does not mean that I promote homosexuality.

What makes Tyamara different from hundreds of musicians is that he talks about his problems and seeks help where he can.

The Bible says when you are saved you don't have to go back to the world of sinners.

While Tyamara should pray to the Lord for spiritual healing, Shebeleza should try to empathise with a fellow musician and offer his help where he can.

Shebeleza, stop being judgmental!
