Following the closure of Goble Park in Bethlehem for renovations, Free State Stars will return to Welkom for their home games for the remainder of the season.
Stars used the venue eight years ago.
Stars chairman Mike Mokoena said: "There are a number of things that will be renovated at Goble Park, including the pitch.
"We are left with only four Premiership games at home, and there won't be a problem because we have used the Welkom Rugby Stadium in the past.
"The move to Welkom will also help us in terms of recruiting supporters for the club.
"There are many people out there who want to become card-carrying supporters.
"I know people may ask about Charles Mopeli Stadium after the pandemonium that broke out there after our game against Kaizer Chiefs.
"We can't go there until the matter has been resolved, it will be useless to go there where we may even find the gates locked," Mokoena added.
Ea lla koto, who were humiliated 6-1 by SuperSport United in a league game in Atteridgeville on Easter Saturday, play their first game in Welkom against Ikapa Sporting in the Nedbank Cup last-16 stage on Saturday.
Commenting on the defeat by Matsatsantsa a Pitori, Mokoena said: "I still can't believe that something like that occurred.
"I'm one person who believes in consistency, but the recent developments are bad if you consider that we were at one stage in contention for the league title."
Last-16's fixtures for the weekend:
Friday:
Germiston: Moroka Swallows v Santos, 8pm
Saturday:
Welkom: FS Stars v Ikapa Sporting, 3pm
Thohoyandou: Black Leopards v Matat Professionals, 3pm
