The ANC Youth League in Limpopo has elected Lehlogonolo Masoga as its new chairman.

Masoga was elected unopposed at the 7th provincial congress at Tivumbeni Education Multipurpose Centre on Sunday.

Masoga is stepping into the shoes of the outgoing chairman and youngest mayor in South Africa, Joshua Matlou, who led the league for almost five years.

Masoga grew up in the ANC in the late 1980s at Marulaneng village, Ga-Mphahlele, near Lebowakgomo.

He participated in the activities of the organisation in 1989 when he was 13 years old.

Two years later Masoga, 32, joined the ANC Youth League.
