After a sterling performance two weeks ago at the Secunda Jazz and Cultural Festival Lesotho national Bhudaza Mapefane is billed to perform at next month's Oude Meester Ekurhuleni Jazz Evenings.

Mapefane will be making his third appearance at the venue by popular demand.

With his album Mohokare, released in 2006, still hot his fans cannot wait to see him performing live.

Mapefane has a great stage presence and is loved by the people. When he is on stage it is not possible to just sit and listen.

His music compels you to stand up and dance. Mapefane is one of the continent's revered exponents on world music.

He will be sharing the stage with Nokukhanya Dlamini, a talented, versatile musician.

Having worked with various artists, such as Kunle, Joyous Celebration and others, she boasts much experience.

But as a solo artist Dlamini has not established her name well in the music industry. Despite that, her vocal strength cannot be disputed.

The Oude Meester Ekurhuleni evenings have promoted young talent in the jazz field.

The concept has in the past given young up-and-coming musicians an opportunity to be the cream of an Afro jazz music platform.
