Phumlani Mkhize's youthful Malanti Chiefs became the first team from the First Division in Swaziland to feature in a cup final, a domain of Premiership teams.

Malanti pipped Premier League side Green Mamba 1-0 in the lucrative Swazi Bank semifinals.

They will now meet another Premier League side, Royal Leopards, in the final set for April 6 at Somhlolo National Stadium.

The champions will walk away with a R300 000 first prize money.

Mkhize said he was happy with the contribution he has made since he joined Malanti in January.

"So far every thing is going according to my anticipation when I joined the league. I said I wanted to help Malanti to gain promotion to the PL and also win one domestic competition. Now I'm within achieving both objectives," he said.

Malanti are lying second on the log with three points behind leaders Manchester.
