Teach Noord Street taxi drivers a lesson

I don't agree with those who say closing down Noord Street taxi rank would be too drastic. Noord Street taxi drivers are rude, they swear at people, are abusive and have no respect.

We as women feel the pain. Many people will suffer, but for how long should we tolerate this rubbish because we cannot do without taxis?

Today we are free because we fought apartheid. Thousands of our people died. If we did not fight, we would still be oppressed. There's no easy way. To be educated, you must work hard.

If the rank is closed, company bosses will understand when people are late for work. Maybe it should be closed - just for a day - to teach taxi drivers and owners a lesson.

There are buses, private vehicles and other means of transport. We can do without Noord Street taxis. There were no taxis before and people managed. We must teach those hooligans a lesson.
