The prosecution has 300 pages of recorded cellphone conversations made between soccer boss Alex Shakoane and a minor accusing him of indecent assault.

Shakoane, pictured, the suspended Mamelodi Sundowns director of marketing and communications, appeared in the Ga-Rankuwa magistrate's court yesterday.

The case was postponed because his counsel wanted time to study the conversations.

Shakoane's lawyer, advocate Marius Bouwer, said the full contents of the docket were disclosed to them, but they had just been informed by the prosecution about the cellphone records.

Shakoane is charged with indecently assaulting the 15-year-old daughter of a colleague at the club. The incident allegedly took place outside the Morula Sun Casino in Mabopane on October 7 last year.

Bouwer asked magistrate Oupa Moeketsi to grant postponement to afford the defence a chance to acquire and peruse the cellphone communications records, by arrangement with the prosecution.

The matter was postponed to April 10.
