South Africa is among the 10 countries that will go into the hat when the Confederation of African Football (CAF) indoor soccer finals draw takes place in Tripoli, Libya, tomorrow.
The tournament will be played in Tripoli from March 21 to 31 with the winners representing Africa at the World Championships in Brazil later this year.
The other countries taking part are Zambia, Angola, Cameroon, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria and Tunisia.
The countries will be divided into two groups of five countries each in this tournament, with winners meeting in the final.
Molefi Oliphant, Safa president, will also be in Tripoli next week for the tournament as convener of CAF's indoor and women's soccer subcommittee.
Meanwhile, Quinton Allies has been appointed coach of the South African team, which does not include former professionals. Allies will be assisted by David Sono.
The team, which leaves for Tripoli on March 18, is: Jermaine Garreth Taylor, Anthony Jacobs, Nwashokwe Gift Mashaba, Ishmael Phiriyamajela Motumi, Andile Thembinkosi Sibizo, Dlozi Nkosi, Charlton Mark Stevens, Kerwin Marc Jean-Pierre, Ashley Naidoo, Lemmy Tshimane Masilo, Majedie Taliep and Bongani Ndulula.
