The president of South African Football Association Molefi Oliphant, will wrap up his presidential roadshow in Isando tomorrow when he meets a newly established school soccer body.

Oliphant will also use the opportunity to deliver a keynote address at the launch of the South African Schools Football Association (Sasfa).

He started with the roadshow last year when he met all 52 Safa regional structures to discuss a variety of issues relating to the growth of the sport.

These include the challenges facing amateur soccer and an update on the preparations for the 2009 Confederations Cup and 2010 World Cup.

Sasfa is a soccer body for schools formed after the disbandment of the United School Sports Association of South Africa, which then catered for various sporting codes.

"We are excited that the president [Oliphant] will be here to talk to us on the historic day we will be launching the association," said Steve Pila, Sasfa's general secretary.

"There is no way we will be able to produce quality players for Majimbos, Amajita, the Under-23s and Bafana Bafana if we neglect school soccer.

"We are working hard to lay a solid foundation for school soccer. We are excited that the corporate world is also giving us a vote of confidence."

After the launch, there will also be a meeting where new Sasfa leaders will be elected. Mandla "Shoes" Mazibuko nominated unopposed as president.

Also elected unopposed are Pila (general secretary), Ismael Masedi (assistant secretary) and PSL assistant referee Isaac Arendse (development officer).

Those nominated for the position of deputy president are Innocent Sirovha, Andries Rapulungoane, Patrick Mabasa and Mazwi Mkhize.

For the treasurer's position, the nominees are Jimmy MacLean, Basil Freitas and Josef Isaks.

Other nominees are K Kwaku, Mathapelo Mathibela and Fridah Leketi (girls' representative).
