Hassan Shehata for president!
One day they are going to chant it and it will most probably happen.
Well, maybe not. But, the high esteem in which Hassan Shehata is being held by the Egyptians has to be seen to be believed.
For the uninitiated let's hasten to add that Shehata is the coach of the Pharaohs, the reigning MTN Africa Cup of Nations champions.
He is the only man to have won the Afcon three times - once as a player and twice as a coach. As coach he did it twice in a row - successfully defending the title he first won on home soil in 2006, in Ghana this year.
Shehata will be profiled on the African Soccer Television show which will be screened on SABC1 Sport's Laduma programme on Sunday at 2.30pm.
In an interesting interview with ASTV, Shehata goes back down memory lane to where it all started for him as a young boy playing the game, to where he is now.
He is a hero in Egypt and as much revered as its on-field stars such as Zidan and Aboutrika.
He also explains his altercation and fallout with Egyptian megastar Mido, who he subsequently dropped from the national team.
The programme will also highlight the 2007-08 Egyptian League game between giants Zamalek and ENPPI Cairo, which Zamalek won 1-0 last weekend.
A new feature called Free Pass, that taps into unfamiliar territory for football broadcasting, has been introduced by ASTV.
It's a segment that will be used for cup matches across the continent, like the Nedbank Cup or Moroccan Supa Cup.
This week's Free Pass takes us to Lesotho to look at their Buddie Premier League Championship in which Matlama FC lost 1-2 to Lesotho Correctional Services.
This week sees the screening of the 390th episode of the programme with 10 more shows to go before the 400 milestone is reached.
