Amateur teams that are in the Nedbank Cup have declared war against their Premiership opponents who they want to embarrass in the last-32 stage of the competition on Sunday.
The stern warning came from officials of Inspection FC and Young Ones yesterday ahead of their matches against Black Leopards and AmaZulu, respectively.
Inspection, who finished sixth in the Mpumalanga Castle Regional League, host Leopards at Secunda Stadium in Embalenhle.
Young Ones travel from Augrabies suburbs near Upington, Northern Cape, to KwaMashu for a date with Usuthu at Princes Magogo Stadium.
Both matches start at 3pm.
The Northern Cape club finished seventh in their Castle Regional League.
Lidoda Duvha, who will be under the tutelage of their new Nigerian coach Austine Eguavoen, will parade their recent catch, Lovers Mohlala on Sunday.
Michael "Loli" Sibanyoni, Inspection coach, said Leopards' status will not threaten them on Sunday
"We will regard them like any other team that we have played before.
"They will not get any special treatment and we want to beat them," Sibanyoni said.
Inspection have a number of good players such as creative midfielder Lucky "China" Nkosi who will team up with Vusi "Ninja" Mdakane and their attack will be lead by the gifted Simphiwe "Chukwu" Ndaba.
Tshifhiwa "Chief" Thidiela, Leopards' spokesman, said it would be difficult to beat Inspection because they were unknown to them.
But Thidiela believes that experience could pull them through to the next round on Sunday.
Lucas van Rooy, Ones' secretary, said they had done everything right to beat AmaZulu.
"They will never know what hit them on Sunday and I so wish that they will undermine us on the day," Van Rooy said.
Armont Basson is a key player for the visitors in the middle of the park.
Bafo Biyela and Dumisani Ngwenya are the among quality players AmaZulu have in their arsenal to brush aside the ambitious Northern Cape amateurs.
